Your visit to the Cathedral

Let us take care of your stay while you explore the timeless wonders of Canterbury.

Your ticket admits you into the Cathedral on a standard adult ticket.

The hotel will issue you with a voucher which must be redeemed at the Cathedral upon arrival. If you wish to book on to a guided tour they run at 10.30, 12 and 14.00 Monday to Saturday, or you can hire a media guide for an audio tour if you prefer. Either option is £5.00 and payable direct at the Cathedral.

Cathedral Information

    November

    • Tuesday 4th November- The Nave and Pulpitum will be closed from 9:30-10:30 and again from 12:30-14:30, and the Chapter House will be closed all day. The rest of the Cathedral will be open for visiting.
    • Wednesday 5th November - The Nave and Pulpitum will be closed from 9:30-10:30 and again from 12:30-14:30, and the Chapter House will be closed all day. The rest of the Cathedral will be open for visiting.
    • Thursday 6th November - The Nave and Pulpitum will be closed from 9:30-10:30 and again from 12:30-14:30, and the Chapter House will be closed all day. The rest of the Cathedral will be open for visiting.
    • Sunday 9th November – The Crypt will be closed until 13:30 due to services for Remembrance Sunday.
    • Monday 10th November – There will be organ tuning today. This does not pose a closure, but it can be audibly disruptive to visitors with auditory sensitivities or those susceptible to migraines.
    • Thursday 20th November – The Nave, Martyrdom, SW Transept, and Chapter House will be closed all day for graduations. The rest of the Cathedral remains open for visiting.
    • Friday 21st November – The Nave, Martyrdom, SW Transept, and Chapter House will be closed all day for graduations. The rest of the Cathedral remains open for visiting.
